The 4th edition of VRDay comes to life again on November 20, hosting different types of events, seminars and conferences in favor of the dissemination and knowledge of the most outstanding uses and cases of virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality and 360th technologies.
Virtual Reality Day or VR Day is a non-profit initiative, open to all audiences interested in learning about the potential of Virtual Reality. This is a call in which events are held in different cities around the world, always the weekend before Black Friday, with the aim of promoting knowledge of this technology.
The Spanish edition
In this year’s edition, VRDaySpain 2021 will be organized in a collaborative way, creating an event at a national level that brings together various initiatives from different Spanish cities, to promote synergies between the different communities of our country.
It will be a hybrid event that will enhance connections nationwide and encourage local networking with face-to-face activities. The program will divide the day into two parts: inviting attendees to join a streaming event in the morning, where Spanish initiatives offer a common program with presentations and round tables that can be followed on Vimeo from anywhere in the world ; and in the afternoon, each initiative will propose various activities locally, such as workshops, masterclasses, demos area or networking events.
This year’s theme will focus on the transversality of the use of Virtual Reality, and the usefulness of Extended Reality, in general, in many sectors.
In addition, we want to make visible the talent of Spanish professionals giving voice to projects and companies of various kinds, from small local projects to large national success stories. And finally, we will look at the future of XR technology, discussing the role that Spanish industry will play in the innovations offered by the new metaverses.
Some of the topics to be discussed will be the involvement of immersive realities in the video game industry, webVR, digital twins, metaverses, application of mixed realities in the retail sector or the application of virtual reality in the real estate sector. rehabilitation.

10.00 – 11.00 Presentation of the VR Day Spain 2021
Event organizers will introduce the program and present their communities and upcoming local and national projects.
11.00 – 12.00 The Speaker: Applications of Virtual Reality that you never imagined
In this space we give voice to several Spanish professionals to tell us about their projects in which they apply VR in lesser known areas such as law, sports, education, retail and even stage.
12.00 – 12.30 WebVR: The “Big Brother” of renewables
Iván Rubio will present one of the latest ACCIONA Energia projects: a guided tour of the Renewable Energy Control Center. A real “Big Brother” built with the best of WebVR technology.
12.30 – 13.00 INFINITUM: Large-scale virtual worlds
Developed by Edgar Martín-Blas tells us about the INFINITUM project, a project for the total virtualization of a brand through the construction of a digital twin, as well as some new surprises from Virtual Voyagers.
13.00 – 14.00 Round table (Live streaming): The role of Spanish industry in metaverses
Several Spanish professionals, who are working on the development of metaverses, will discuss the importance of this solution and what the future offers us in this area.
EVENING SESSION
There will be several activities in hybrid format: Workshops – Masterclasses – Demo area – Networking.

The Spanish edition of Global VRDay is a non-profit event, organized by associations and working groups in the sector, and free. The 2021 will be its fourth edition.
